Twelfth day... Completed!

Dear all,

Well, the twelfth day didn't quite turn out as planned. I intended like always to do a scene but that didn't quite happen. I sat down at my desk and decided to sort my new pens out so that I can use them more efficiently. I thought I would do this in a couple of minutes and I could move on to my scene but hours later I was still at it. Then I ran out of time to make a scene so today I have a colour chart and some organisation to show you.

The colour charts for the Spectrum Aqua pens didn't work for me. If you look them up online they are divided into the sets that Spectrum put them in and then a triangle is used for each colour. I wanted all the pens on the same colour chart and I wanted the squares big enough that I could blend out the colours. I did this by drawing a grid onto watercolour card and then coloured with each pen and blended out with water. If I could do this again then I probably wouldn't have put the pen directly to the paper because the blending didn't work as well.

However, I did all the colours on the same piece of cardstock. I did have to go on to the back but that doesn't really matter.

Here is the front of the watercolour card, you can see that the colours wasn't necessarily dark to light on the card. I did group them before I did the chart in what I thought was light to dark. This is why I had to do a colour chart because the colours on the pens are deceiving.

Here is the back. There are 48 colours in total.

After I did that I put them away in my pen storage system along with my other pens. I had Copic's to put away as well so this took a long time.

I thought you might be interested to see my pen system as I know a lot people use different systems.

I use the Crafters Companion pen system to store all of my pens.

This is the top portion of my stack on the right side. I have two stack going. The bottom portion of the right hand side stack is Spectrum Noir pens, I own all of the colours. Then the top portion as you can see in the picture is Spectrum Aqua pens.

This is a picture of the rest of the pens.

You can see the rest of the Spectrum Noir pens on the right and on the left hand side you can see my collection of Copic Markers and at the top are four Wink of Stella pens.

I hope you enjoyed reading.
