Tenth day... completed!

Dear all,

I finished a scene for today on watercolour card. I wanted to do a watercolour night scene as a bit of a challenge to see if I could do it. I used Windsor and Newton watercolour paints and some Spectrum Aqua pens.

Here is the stamped scene:

The pictures in this scene are mainly from a couple of Hobby Arts sets. The only stamp which I don't know where it is from is the moon stamp because it was given to me as a free gift with an order. There are lots of different moon stamps so if you are looking for one then I am sure you will find one. Stampscapes do a full moon stamp which is great.

I thought I would give you a work in progress picture to show you how I use my watercolours. I mix the colours as I go on my acrylic block. I don't own that many yet so I have to mix a lot. I have a palette but I find the acrylic block is better because it has a lot of plain flat space for mixing, and I find it keeps my colours purer in case I want to go back and use the base colours again. I guess I could buy a flat palette but for now the acrylic block is working well.

Here it is finished, I think it turned out quite well. Overall, I am happy with the night scene.

Here it is inside the museum book. I did mean to add stars to the picture with a paint pen but completely forgot to do so. I might go back to it and add white stars in. I hope you like the scene.

I hope you enjoyed reading.
